Deixe-me apresentar a designer e defensora dos direitos dos animais, Stella McCartney, que está abrindo caminho para deixar a indústria da moda mais sustentável. Stella é filha do beatle Paul McCartney e de sua esposa Linda, é vegetariana e foi criada para amar e respeitar os animais.
Já faz tempo que a indústria da moda é uma das maiores poluidoras do planeta. McCartney que mudar isso introduzindo tecidos alternativos que se parecem com couro e pele, mas não são.
“Usar um poliéster reciclado ao invés do couro do bezerro brasileiro, tem um impacto 24x menor ao meio ambiente, calculado através da Environmental Profit and Loss”- (EP&L).
Ela também promove a “Fur Free Fur” (Pele Livre Pele), focado em ser 100% amigo do meio ambiente.

Allow me to introduce fashion designer and animal rights advocate, Stella McCartney, who is paving the way to make the fashion industry more sustainable. Stella, daughter of Beatle Paul McCartney and his wife Linda, is a vegetarian and was raised to love and respect animals.
This is timely as the fashion industry is currently one of the biggest environmental polluters on the planet. McCartney wants to change this by introducing alternative fabrics that look and feel like real leather and fur, but aren’t. “Using recycled polyester instead of Brazilian calf leather creates 24 times less of an environmental impact, as calculated through the Environmental Profit and Loss (EP&L).” [1] She also promotes her ‘Fur Free Fur’ which is produced in a 100% environmentally friendly way.
